One of if not THE best drama anime of this year if not one of the BEST of all time.

liking this incarnation of Blackjack. Good move making the characters less cartoony than in the manga. & it seems to me that the serie's creators did their medical research & faithfully reproducing the equipment and techniques available in the late 60's. Except for Blackjack's skills, of course; he's superhuman.

It's inevitable but a bit sad that stories about killing people are more common than stories about healing them. That said, the characters in this show are strictly two-dimensional -- barely more than one, in fact. And why did the central character have to be so bizarre? This is one time when more realism would have held my interest better.
