Shy
Earth was on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe, ending the conflict and ushering in a new era of relative peace. Among those heroes, Japan is represented by a timid young girl known as “Shy.” She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she'll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero.
La Terre était au bord d'une troisième guerre mondiale lorsque des individus surpuissants sont sortis de chaque pays du monde, mettant fin au conflit et inaugurant une nouvelle ère de paix relative. Kind of a weak start to the series. Angsty heroine or Bocchi the Hero. It sets up th premise at the end as all the heroes are needed for event yet to happen. Kind of preedictable.

It is nice to see a fresh idea this season. This show deals with the pitfalls of being a superhero. The MC is just as falliable and flawed as everyone else, she just happens to have superhuman abilities. The show is fairly well animated, and does do a good job of capturing what the stress of having so many people relying on you. All in all, a decent show, worth giving a further shot.

If Bocchi were a superhero. Dealing with a crisis of faith after failing to rescue someone. Magical girl style transformation. The plot hook seems pretty straightforward. Interesting that they got it out of the way so early.

Despite the angsty deconstruction of the superhero genre, the character development is a little simplistic. However, it lays an adequate basis for future episodes.
