Otaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai!?
Meet Takuya Seo, an otaku who sits behind the popular gals in class, Ijichi and Amane. As people from different “castes”, you wouldn’t expect them to have much in common. But when their worlds collide over a borrowed eraser, Takuya slips up about his favorite anime, and Amane is rather quick to correct him. She says she’s not a fan, but her familiarity with the series suggests otherwise. Could she be a fellow geek?
Voici Takuya Seo, un otaku assis derrière Ijichi et Amane, les filles populaires de la classe. Issus de milieux différents, on pourrait penser qu'ils n'ont pas grand-chose en commun. Mais lorsque leurs univers se croisent à cause d'une gomme empruntée, Takuya laisse échapper un mot sur son anime préféré, et Amane s'empresse de le corriger. Elle affirme ne pas être fan, mais sa connaissance de la série laisse penser le contraire. Serait-elle, elle aussi, une passionnée de culture geek ?

This one is fun. A geeky guy finds that the two hottest girls in his class are actually willing to interact with him.
What's more, they are somewhat geeky themselves - in their own ways.
A quirky comedy about finding everything is not what you expected - but in a good way.

Interesting rom-com contrasting the open otaku archetype with the closet otaku popular girl that wants to come out, but can't bring herself to do it. Catchy, upbeat music. Art style has a slightly rough, manga sketch look to it, with the main characters having really, really big eyes. Very charming slice of life.

Since gals and otaku "live in different worlds," does that make this an isekai? The story is pretty simple, but the characters are (at least a bit) original. Not the kind of thing I look for, but could be much worse.

I haven't seen a show this good since Yowamushi Pedal. How this kid is trying not to be a flaming otaku and fails so comically. I'm sorry I hadn't shown this earlier.
