Asagaya Minoa is a new high school student in Sakaneko Private High School. Despite being a novice to anime, Minoa's classmate Kamiigusa Arisu invites her to make an "anime research club" at school. Through conversations with her classmate Kouenji Miko, as well as various anime-loving upperclassmen, Minoa gradually gets hooked on anime. While they stand against the student council's continuous efforts to disband their club, and they ignore the impending end of the world, they talk about anime, whether in Akiba, or in real-life "sacred place" anime settings, or the hot springs.
Asagaya Minoa est une nouvelle étudiante du secondaire à Sakaneko Private High School. En dépit d'être novice à l'anime, la camarade de classe de Minoa Kamiigusa Arisu l'invite à faire un «club de recherche d'anime» à l'école. Grâce à des conversations avec son camarade de classe, Kouenji Miko, ainsi que plusieurs classeurs amateurs d'anime, Minoa s'accroche progressivement à l'anime. Alors qu'ils s'opposent aux efforts continus du conseil étudiant pour dissiper leur club, ils ignorent la fin imminente du monde, ils parlent d'anime, que ce soit à Akiba, ou dans des milieux d'ambiance de «lieux sacrés» de la vie réelle, ou les sources thermales.
