It's been years... no decades since we last watched this series. With slight advancement of CG, this series is still great.

Okay, instead of saying whats good and bad, im just gonna write an open letter to the characters. 1) Just because your opponent got a negative score on their IQ test, does not mean you are immediately a tactical genius 2) a daylight charge across the minefield is the last thing the enemy will expect for a reason; its suicide 3) fleets generally do not charge so fast that they can close a large distance instantly, with other enemy fleets being unable to close a smaller distance in a long timespan; that's not engines, thats teleporting

All in all, I actually found this comical. Too bad that wasn't the intent.

not the fault of anime, but this ponderous, heavily strategic stuff just doesn't appeal to me. i gave Lodoss War a pass too, back in the day.
