I must admit the animated 3D cell-shaded characters take a little getting use to but the technic has come a long way. The episode itself glosses over the manga but gives a solid grounding in the story plotlines. I actually looking forward to this series.

It's not surprising that a lot of Japanese might get kind of geeky about their old warships, and they certainly seem to love their school girls so I guess it was inevitable that someone would combine them. I'd watch it again - at least, it would be fun to see catfight between a submarine and a battleship.

For the first 5 minutes, or so everything looks normal but when the lights turn on that's when the CGI starts looking off. I'd have to watch the 720p version on a system that handle the rendering, I think, otherwise the uncanny valley probably hits this series hard, especially due to it's frame rate and its realtively flat shading. the premise seems interesting at least, with an Evanglion like setting.

it's ok, too much 3D moels but firt episodes leaves alot to be desired.

humanbean
